Reference
- Epoch is 1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC. A Unix timestamp counts seconds since then (negative before it).
- Unit auto-detect uses magnitude: ~10 digits = seconds, ~13 = milliseconds, ~16 = microseconds, ~19 = nanoseconds.
- JavaScript
Dateworks in milliseconds and is precise to about ±100,000,000 days around epoch. - The 32-bit signed second counter overflows on 2038-01-19 (the “Year 2038 problem”).
- All math runs in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere.
